Anja Breien (b. 1940) is a Norwegian film director. She has played a significant role in Norwegian film history and is behind some of the most influential films produced in the country. Notably, she directed the films Rape (1971), the Wives trilogy (1975, 1985, 1996), Next of Kin (1979), and The Witch Hunt (1981).
