Kathrine Thorborg Johansen
Kathrine Thorborg Johansen studied acting at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts from 2009-2013. She worked at Trøndelag Teater for two years after graduating. Here, she played the title role in Påfuglen and the role of Hedvig in The Wild Duck - a role she was nominated for a Hedda Award in 2018. She has also worked at Det Norske Teatret, where she has participated in many productions. She played Kristina in Kristinaspelet produced by Det Nye Teaterkompaniet (2021).
She has contributed in the TV-series Heimebane (NRK), Oljefondet (TVNorge) and Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes (Netflix) and played in the feature films The Quake (2018), Børning 3 (2020), Oslo: Copenhagen (2020) and Wild Men (2021). Thorborg Johansen recently achieved great success with the NRK-series Makta, where she played Gro Harlem Brundtland, a role in which she won the Golden Screen award in the category Best Lead Actress Drama in 2024.
She has guest-curated the section Portrait Oslo for Oslo Pix Film Festival 2024.
