Mina Hadjian
Mina Hadjian (b. 1975) is a radio host who has had radio shows on NRK P3 and NRJ as well as having produced her own podcasts. She established the media house Foreningen Røverhuset in 2013 after having worked on the pilot project “Radio Inside” in Halden prison since 2011. Røverhusets radio program - RøverRadion - is a project concerning freedom of speech and a true crime show in the true sense of the word.
The program offers true stories from the inside of Norwegian prisons, told from the criminal’s perspective. The inmates share everything from serious assaults to embarrassing blunders and give both shocking and touching insights into a closed world as they talk openly about their feelings and experiences. The program has won several awards and has a solid footing in the industry with tens of thousands of regular listeners. In 2017, RøverRadion made a deal with NRK P2 and has since been the only prison radio in the world that is broadcast regularly on a nationwide state channel outside of the prison walls.
Hadjian is the author of the book «Røverhistorier.» She travels around Norway and the rest of the world to give lectures. She has also appeared on Norwegian TV throughout the years.
