«It means a lot to win the audience award, and I am proud and happy that the women I portray, who have fought for many years to have their voices heard, are being recognized by the public in this way. Their fight for women's legal rights deserves to be seen. A huge thank you to the audience at Oslo Pix who received the film so warmly, and to the entire team that made this film possible!»
Thank you so much to everyone who voted!
About the film:
After the sexual assault cases of Amy, Marina, and Hanna are dismissed by the police in Austin, Texas, the women try to rebuild their lives. The three women join forces with twelve others in a groundbreaking federal class-action lawsuit. They argue that sexual assaults are not prosecuted because it is a type of crime that predominantly affects women. They are determined to hold the police and prosecutors accountable but continually face resistance from the system they are trying to change.
